Inside The Treatment Room

Hydration First

Korean beauty focuses on barrier support, nourishment, prevention, and deep hydration to create skin that looks healthy, radiant, and naturally glowing. At the heart of this approach is hydration. When skin is properly hydrated, it functions better, feels more comfortable, and maintains that plump, luminous appearance we all love. Simply put, hydration is one of the most powerful ways to support your skin at every stage.

Why Water Matters

Hydration is essential for nearly every function of the skin, which is why I often ask clients about their water intake, caffeine, and alcohol consumption. While the skin is the largest organ in the body, it’s also the last to receive hydration; your vital organs get priority first. This means you truly have to be intentional about drinking enough water for your skin to benefit.

For optimal health, most people should aim for 72–104 ounces of water per day, and even more if caffeine or alcohol is part of their routine. Without enough internal hydration, the skin struggles to function properly, no matter how good your skincare products are.

Hydration Inside And Out

Proper hydration helps flush toxins from the body, improving skin clarity, reducing blemishes, and creating a natural glow. Dehydrated skin often behaves like oily skin, producing excess oil that can lead to congestion, breakouts, and inflammation. When the skin lacks water, its barrier weakens, allowing irritants in and moisture out.

Along with drinking enough water, topical hydration is key. I love layering multiple hydrating products to truly flood the skin with moisture. Starting with a hydrating toner like the Krx CICA Toner, followed by an Essence Cream Pad, Beta Serum, and a moisturizer such as Rich M Lotion or Cream, creates skin that feels plump, calm, and resilient.
